or, the history of the ancient abbies, monasteries, hospitals, cathedral and collegiate churches, with their dependencies, in England and Wales, also of all such Scotch, Irish, and French monasteries, as did in any manner relate to those in England. 3 volumes in 1, folio, engraved title-page, printed title-page in red and black, 84 engraved plates (only), contemporary panelled and sprinkled calf, original backstrip very neatly laid down, title-page lightly spotted, a few inner margins with cuts where plates have been removed.
Provenance: With the armorial book-plates of Alexander Campbell, second Earl of Marchmont, firstly as Sir Alexander Campbell of Cessnock and senator of the College of Justice, and secondly, as Lord Polworth, lord-lieutenant of Berwickshire, Lord Clerk Register and ambassador to the court of Copenhagen.
