First edition, 8vo, original decorated green cloth with gilt title to spine, 4 colour plates, 2 colour maps (1 fold-out), 2 steel engravings, 27 woodcut plates and quantity of half-page woodcuts within the text, head and tail of spine worn, corners bumped, front inner hinge cracked, ink inscriptions to front free endpaper and title page, pencil inscriptions to front and rear free endpapers, foxing;
