First edition, volume 1 only (of 4), folio, later cloth, x 75 pp., chromolithographic title-page, autotype portrait of Maharaja Madho Singh of Jeypore, 39 plates (mainly chromolithographic), bound with the chromolithographic title-pages to volumes 2-4, and the text (pp. 44) and 2 chromolithographic plates (nos. 97-8) from volume 4, bound without the ‘Introductory Notice’ at front, the title-page and frontispiece to volume 1 misbound between text and plates rather than at front, initial blank inscribed ‘To dear Charles with the afft. regards of the author’;
