Footnote
Photographs of Glasgow College was commissioned by the Principal of Glasgow College before the move to the new Glasgow University at Gilmore Hill. This copy appears to be the earlier state of this volume as plate two shows the pissoir on the left of the College entrance and the shades of the camera tripod to the right, the pissoir was removed in the later state of the image. A larger series of 41 photographs of the College was published as Memorials of the Old College of Glasgow in 1871.
