Cargill, James. Poems. 12 calligraphic poems, early 19th-century, red morocco gilt with blind stamped decorative panels front and back, 17 x 11cm, 62pp.;
Douglas, Anne Georgina. ‘Leamington, 1836’. Sketchbook 23 x 29.5cm, with pencil drawings of interiors, exteriors, domestic scenes (some titled with Leamington addresses including 36 Warwick Street, 56 Wellington Street, 2 Dale Street, Milverton Crescent), also a country house and grounds (Lady E. and A. Douglas, Letherington? House), a few pages loosely inserted, boards rubbed;
Armstrong, William. Manuscript journal 18.5 x 12cm, early 19th century, ‘Historical Memorandums and Remarkable Facts of Mr William Armstrong. Written in Warren[?] United States of America 31st August 1848’. Detailing time at sea during the Napoleonic wars;
Christmas card album. Illustrated purple cloth with seasonal illustrated gilt front cover with inset colour illustration, with 86 laid-down Victorian Christmas cards, some being ‘pop-ups’, pencil annotation to free endpaper, boards split, some dust-staining;
Group of 1850s/60s portrait photographs. Ambrotype by Edinburgh photographers Lawrie & Mitchell, 8 further ambrotypes, 1 daguerrotype, and 1 albumen print, all being faded and rubbed (11);
together with: a late 19th-century photograph album with informal figurative scenes, inscribed ‘This belongs to Arthur Nelson, for many years member of the Arts Club, Rutland Square’; postcard album with 102 early 20th-century black and white postcards of Scotland (mainly west coast) (a group)

Several of the poems in James Cargill's book appear to be original, and we have not found them in other publications or copies.
