London: by Peter Short, 1597. 4to (19.1 x 14.1cm), in 4 parts with separate foliation, [6], 22, [7], 81, [3], 22, [9], 87, [1] leaves, the final three parts with individual title pages, with woodcut illustrations, wanting the general title page, the title page for the 2nd part ‘The Art of Riding’ misbound at front, later half parchment with marbled boards, corner tips repaired, some annotations in 16th-/17th-century hand, 18th-century armorial bookplate of Sir Samuel Hannay, some staining in parts, final leaf torn with slight loss of text at foot [ESTC S104598, STC (2nd ed.), 3156]
