Description
who are said, by common report, to have been concerned in the late unatural [sic] Rebellion. Manuscript, one folio leaf, folded to 36 x 23cm, docket title, with integral blank, listing 69 noblemen and gentlemen beginning with The Lord Drummond [James Drummond, 2nd titular Duke of Perth, (1673-1720)] and The Lord Ogilvy [James Ogilvy, 5th Earl of Findlater and 2nd Earl of Seafield (c. 1688-1764)], signed at Perth 14th November 1716 by Alexander Robertson of Craig, Sheriff deput [sic].

Rare manuscript written in the aftermath of the failed Jacobite rising, when several Jacobite prisoners were tried for treason and sentenced to death. The Indemnity Act of July 1717 pardoned most of the surviving prisoners who had taken part in the Rising.
