Description
Half green morocco, cloth boards, spine decorated gilt in compartments, lettered "Hamilton Smith's sketches of costume." Charles Hamilton Smith published an number of works on uniforms and historical costumes and left a large collection of his own watercolour drawings. These are presumably prepared for him, rather than by him, as many are signed A. Aglio. Jr.
