二十世紀 瑞獸銜環耳三足蓋爐
the compressed globular censer raised on cabriole feet, set on both sides with prominent dragon-head handles suspending loose rings, the cover surmounted by a Buddhist lion and young cub, on a fitted wooden stand

Provenance
From the collection of Homer Ling (林全诚, 1891-1972), thence by direct descent, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The collection was amassed in the early 20th century.
Homer Ling was born in Fuzhou into one of the earliest Christian families in Macau or on Gulangyu (Gulangsu). In September 1914, after finishing university in Shanghai, Homer went to the United States to study, majoring in mechanical engineering. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Homer was the first Chinese to be admitted to the Harvard Glee Club. He also co-founded Amoy Canning. In 1921, Homer was appointed as Chief Engineer to build the first main water supply system in the southeast coastal areas of China.

林全誠(1891–1972)舊藏,後家族遞藏,現藏於英國蘇格蘭愛丁堡。該收藏主要於二十世紀初匯聚而成。
林全誠生於福州,家族為澳門鼓浪嶼最早期的基督徒家族之一。1914年9月,林全誠於上海完成大學學業後赴美深造,主修機械工程,並先後取得哈佛大學及麻省理工學院(MIT)之學士與碩士學位。林全誠亦為首位獲准加入哈佛合唱團(Harvard Glee Club)之華人,亦是「淘化大同食品有限公司(Amoy Canning)」早期創辦人之一。1921年,林全誠受任為總工程師,主持興建中國東南沿海地區首座主要自來水供應系統。
