cast bronze, consisting of a rigid mouthpiece and a pair of cheek pieces formed as mythological creatures wearing a horned headdress, with striding hoofed feet, a curling tail and wings extending upwards, both perforated at the centre through which the bit has been placed, raised on a bespoke mount
