FRENCH 17TH CENTURY BINDING...
A full red morocco Armorial binding, the borders with cenral oval cartouche of the Arms of Jean-Batiste Colbert, within ruled three line gilt border with coronet cypher to each corner, the cypher repeated to each of the seven panels on the spine each within gilt foliat sprays, internally with blank pages watermarked with Colbert's arms containing an early 19th century manuscript title "Catalogue des Objets d'Art de Curiosite au Palais d'Hamilton 1838" and also containing similar room headings in French throughout, later armorial bookplate, A.E.G., small folio, 380mmx260mm
