All the pieces presented have a fascinating story to tell and are evocative to an era, a place, and a lifestyle: from the rich warmth of Edwardian hand-worn leather to the slick coolness of Art Deco steel and chrome. These are items that would be comfortable in a Victorian country house, the essentials for a 1920s motoring holiday, and the remnants of a by-gone era of advertising and shop fittings.
To handle them is to elicit the sounds of steam whistles, clinking cocktail glasses, and the snort of horses and revving engines in equal measure. They are indicative of a career of over thirty years developing an eye for only the most unusual and memorable pieces and letting them speak their own history.
