Our April edition of Contemporary Art taking place on Wednesday 03 April features the finest group of early works by John Byrne to have been seen on the market before (lots 81-90). The ‘Patrick’ era pieces all come from the same private collection - that of the descendants of Byrne’s local priest, Father Tom Jamieson of Renfrew Parish. Alongside this collection you can also see a selection of works by the artistic Morrocco family, Alberto, Leon and Jack; Paolozzi and his work in collage, print and sculpture; a fine grouping of works by Eardley’s friend and protégée, Lil Neilson. We are also proud to feature work by the late Jack Vettriano – a titan of modern Scottish painting.
