Which Rolex models perform best at auction?
Vintage professional models including the Submariner, Daytona and GMT-Master, plus Explorer models with strong provenance or unusual dials, attract the most attention. Rare references and iconic models, especially discontinued ones, are particularly in demand. Originality is key: minimal restoration, intact original parts, full documentation, and a compelling provenance all enhance sale prospects and final hammer price.
Our specialist Watch Department is no stranger to selling Rolex watches at record breaking auction prices. Taking place in London, Edinburgh and online, our regular watch auctions enjoy an international network of Rolex buyers looking to enhance their collection. L&T's Rolex auction highlights include a rare Rolex Daytona 6263 that sold for £62,500, a Rolex Submariner 'MilSub' that achieved £58,950 and a Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT Master 'Pepsi' model 6542 that sold for £25,000 (all prices inclusive of buyer’s premium).
