Note: One of the last releases by Allied Distillers before Ardbeg was bought by Glenmorangie & Co in 1997. As such the whisky was distilled in the 1960s, very much a golden age of production on Islay. Only 29 casks were used in the production is this release.
Tasting notes: Sweet smoke infused into leather. Meaty and medicinal. Fruity with a balance of citrus and red fruit. Dark chocolate bitterness. Medicinal.
