Footnote
Note: It is widely considered by whisky connoisseurs that Pride of Strathspey is indeed Macallan. This whisky was bottled in the late 1970s/early 1980s and this would place it at over 40 years old. The flavour and aroma profiles of whiskies distilled in the pre-war era are notably different to the profiles of more recent years If one were to open this bottle we would hope for a soft and balanced whisky with 'autumn' scents and a mellow and earthy depth. Perhaps leaves and moss and heather honey. Spices and stewed fruit.
