Millbillillie (Wiluna District, Western Australia) AEUC (stone) - fell October 1960
A bright fireball was witnessed in October 1960, and a meteorite appeared to fall on the plain of Millbillillie and Jundee stations. No searches were made as a result of the sighting, but the first specimen was recovered from an area of red clay in 1970.
Millbillillie is a rare calcium rich eucrite achondrite, widely accepted to have originated from Vesta, our brightest naked eye asteroid. Being Ca-rich, the fusion crust on Millbillillie specimens is a glossy, shiny black and fine flowlines are visible over much of the surface.
