the curved back, scroll arms and loose cushion seat covered in foliate patterned red velvet, raised on reeded turned tapered legs, terminating in cappings and castors, stamped 'HH'

Note: Although the maker is unidentified, the journeyman chair maker who stamped his work 'HH' does appear to have worked for Gillows.
