David Wynn started business in St. James, Westminster, London in 1720.
He was free of the gunmakers company by redemption, as of 7th April 1715. The business ended in 1729 at David Wynn's death in April of that year. A similar pair of pistols are illustrated in Great British Gunmakers 1540-1740, Neal & Back, page 426.
