Description
Britannia, fupporting [sic] the protectors of peace & liberty. London: P. & P. Gally, 1814. Framed, large size.
Note: Le Quesne 69. Save for the different date of publication and colouring, and that it was issued by Gally alone without Stampa, this is the same as a picture issued in 1802 to celebrate the Treaty of Amiens, whereas the present picture must have been issued to celebrate the Treaty of Paris in the belief that it would end the long war with France. It is the only known example of the same picture being issued for two purposes.
