The Sixty Steps was designed by one of Scotland's most celebrated architects, Alexander "Greek" Thomson (1817–1875) and is located in Glasgow's West End. Designed in the 1870s, the stone staircase connects Kelvinside Terrace with Queen Margaret Road and was built to provide access to the original Queen Margaret Bridge. Today, the Sixty Steps are valued as an important part of Glasgow's architectural heritage and continue to be used by the public on a daily basis.
