HMS Unicorn was one of the last wooden battleships to be in action. In November 1873, she was brought to Dundee, where she served for over a century as a training ship for the Royal Naval Reserve. Today, HMS Unicorn remains moored at Dundee’s waterfront and is one of the city’s oldest and most historic landmarks. She is the oldest ship left in Scotland and the sixth oldest in the world.
