Constructed in 1785 and designed by John Roberts, the building originally served as a residence for the Morris family who were prominent landowners in Ireland in the 18th century.
Later acquired by the Waterford Chamber of Commerce and re-named the ‘Port of Waterford Company Building’, overseeing global maritime trade that connected Waterford with around 400 ports worldwide.
