Description
of demi-fluted urn form, the hinged lid with a budding finial, the scroll handle with ivory insulators, the body with a frieze of vines, a chased coursing scene on one side depicting a pair of greyhounds pursuing a hare, the opposite side engraved with a presentation inscription 'Given by the Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire Coursing Club Won at Eaglesham by Mr Charles Gainies's dog Dash December 5th 18*7', the spreading foot with acanthus leaf and gadrooned decoration
