It would appear that the railway was never granted Royal Assent and therefore never built.
With records held at The National Archives, Kew, there is a general minute book, the finance committee minute book, a register of shareholders and finally a file concerning a dispute over payment between the Company and a Mr. Scott, their civil engineer.
