Richard Sibley, London 1813, of oval outline, double gadrooned border, with engraved armorials to the centre for Bacon of Newton Cup, County Durham, the handles each with gadrooned detail and acanthus clasped detail, raised on four bracket foliate and paw feet (2)

Impaling Grey for Charles Bacon 3rd son of John William Bacon Forster of Newton Cup who took the name of Forster on becoming seized of the estate of Edderston o the death of his uncle Ferdinando Forster in 1756.
Charles Bacon married Dorothy, daughter of Marmaduke, son of Bryan Grey of Kyloe in the county palatinate of Durham in 1790 (Hodgson's History of Northumberland vol. III part 2, page 376)
