Footnote
This piece although not signed, displays many of the characteristics of the workshop. The detail of the hinge finials are directly comparable with signed pieces, as is the quality of the craftsmanship. The use of the swivel seals is similar to another hinged bangle sold Bonhams New York lot 102 June 2009, a more modern copy made by Alfredo Castellani is in the V&A London. Christie's sold a hinged bangle decorated with micromosaic and the rear half with ROMA as the prominent decoration (December 12th 2012)
