Note:
A similar large example with motto AUDENTIOR IBO sold Lyon & Turnbull ‘Jacobite, Stuart and Scottish Applied Arts’ 13th May 2015, lot 58 (sold £1875)
The engraving on this glass suggests Engraver D as the likely artist. The placement of the Garter star on the wrong side and tightly engraved hair among other comparable show great similarity to a glass within The Drambuie Collection.
