the large compressed spherical pommel attached with a flat headed screw to rounded and flat sheet formed basket hilt, the front guards of simple form with lozenge detail within simple bars, no wrist guard, the wooden grip covered with lacquered intertwined hemp, double-edged blade signed across both sides ANDREA FARARA interspersed with ten bladesmith's marks of a crowned figure
