Note: The Jacobite Society of Sea Sergeants was based in West and South Wales. They convened once a year at a seaside location, often for a week at a time, and unlike some societies did have women present at meetings.
The emblem and motto of the society can also be found on rare glassware (see The Jacobites and their Drinking Glasses, G. B. Seddon pp. 68 - 69, plate 7.).
Since it is the only recorded example of fine quality, it would seem highly unlikely it was a standard piece owned or worn by all members. This perhaps suggest that this was worn by the chairman of the society.
