3 manuscript pages on 1 leaf, one poem in three parts, or three poems: 1) 7 lines written as a fictionalised reply from the Duke of Perth to Lady Weem, asuring her that "The prince is safe and I no terrors Feell"; 2) 32 lines, and the signature of Duncan Balfour, written as a fictionalised conversation between Major Lockhart and The Duke of Cumberland, with the final 10 lines written from Prince Charles Edward Stuart's perspective, following his defeat at Culloden; 3) 39 lines, another fictionalised conversation between Lady Weem and the Duke of Perth, asking for a description of the Battle of Culloden; one leaf lacking around 10cm with apparently no loss to text
