dated 1759 on the lock tail, with GR surmounted by a Royal Crown in the centre of the rounded lock and signed JORDAN , swan neck cock, round 42 inch barrel struck with Tower proof marks at the breech and barrel makers mark I W ,walnut full stock with brass furniture the brass butt plate tang engraved ABD 22. Possibly for the ABERDEEN MILITIA. Initials LR struck at the back of the brass side plate in the wooden stock ,with front and rear sling swivels and with wooden replacement brass tipped ramrod with a socket bayonet signed OUGHTON & 46, surmounted by a Royal Crown
