Note:
There has long been debate over the origin of this combination of marks. There is little doubt that the maker is John Glenny, however the town of origin has been questioned. It has previously been suggested his maker's mark in combination with a 'hammer' mark are connected with a time in Stonehaven. While it has not been possible to prove this, the obvious connection with the Stonehaven teaspoon en suite to this one adds a tempting angle of possibility.
