maker's mark lacking, marked to foot, Glasgow town mark twice, of tapered vase form with beaded rim to body, chased acanthus and foliate swags and vacant shield cartouche

Note:
Although lacking a maker's mark, it seems likely this cream jug was made by Milne & Campbell circa 1765. They are seen to produce a large proportion of Glasgow tea ware of this period and are one of the few makers noted making items in this unusual almost Neoclassical style.
