Notes: although original thought to be John Argo of Banff, there appears to building evidence to attribute this mark to John Allen of Aberdeen. Punches with very similar characteristic and styles are now known in conjunction with Aberdeen town marks. Without a concrete town mark for either Banff or Aberdeen this piece remains open to some debate.
