Description
the thick brown studded leather cover is decorated in panels formed between three concentric lines and eight radii, giving four panels per ring, the outer ring is made up of tooled formal interlace, next is a ring of scroll work and the inner ring is a combination of the other two, the central brass boss is pierced for a spike and has four panels of fine quality interlace in high relief, two of these being entwined serpents, the reserve is covered in deer hide with hair on and has a leather arm brace and hand grip.
