Footnote
Notes a nice set of marks for Stewart while working in Tain, and a clearer than often seen C mark. For many years this unusual C mark was often termed as a 'cup and saucer' recently with the discovery of clearer struck examples it has been re classed as a C. Oddly it is always struck on this inverted plain and usually crudely struck in comparison to the other punches.
