by 'D' (unknown) of Dundee, circa 1830, marked D (incuse), pot of lilies struck thrice, of Old English pattern with deep scoop shell bowl

Notes: While the maker has remained untraced, a possible name has been muted as a retailer called Dewar. This has not been possible to prove but seems likely. Another possibility for consideration is that it maybe be another town mark and the piece is lacking any makers mark. An unusual set of marks.
