Note: Miss Augusta Lamont worked in the Natural History Department of Edinburgh University and was the sister of Sir Norman Lamont, of Knockdow, Argyll, who was Liberal M.P. for Buteshire from 1905 to 1910, and Parliamentary Private Secretary first to Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman, the Liberal Prime Minister, and then to Winston Churchill when he was President of the Board of Trade.
