Having completed his artistic training at the Royal Academy in 1988, Pip Todd Warmoth embarked, as many young graduates do, on a three month tour of Europe, studying and sketching the major sights as other artists had done before him. The journey (swiftly followed by another in a Range Rovercum studio modified by his father, fellow artist Peter Todd) would be the first of many which would see Todd Warmoth cross the globe, capturing sites of exquisite beauty in his own distinctive and atmospheric style. While originally working directly en plein air, the artist now prefers to capture fleeting impressions via sketches and photographs, allowing him
greater mobility and flexibility in capturing the perfect view of the temples and other architectural motifs that particularly interest him -
even if it requires days of
trekking at high altitude.
