Received from the Lord Elibank as his supply for his Lands in the Shire of Haddingtoun, payable "by virtue of an order from his Royal Highness Charles Prince Regent", signed by Lachlan MacLachlan on the verso, 3rd October, 1745

Note: Lachlan Maclachlan, the seventeenth chief of the Clan, was appointed to the staff of Charles Edward Stuart as commissary-general. He led 300 of his clansmen to Culloden where he perished.
