Provenance: A bookplate to the paste-down endpaper gifts the book to Filippo Agricola, dated 1835. A portrait of Agricola is pasted to the free-endpaper verso, accompanied by a gift inscription to 'Elena', gifting her the work in memory of 'their time in Rome', from an unknown person.
