Note: Captain, late Admiral, George McKinley (1766-1852) commanded the 38-gun frigate Lively, and was for some time senior officer on the Lisbon station during the Peninsula war, being responsible for the evacuation of the British ships in the Tagus; he played a notable role in the capture of Vigo and Santiago in March 1809.
