The iliad of Homer, translated by Mr Pope. London: printed by W. Bowyer for Bernard Lintott, 1715-1716. First English edition, folio, 6 volumes, engraved portrait, 2 folding maps, (lacking plates of 'Plan' in volume 2 and 'Shield of Achilles' in volume 5), late 18th or early 19th century half calf, spine gilt, foxing to several pages, others very clean, darkening to some pages and slight darkening to boards (6)
