Note: Described as conservation's "patron saint" by David Attenborough, Peter Scott has been seen as a father of conservation. As a founder of the both Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust [1946] and the World Wildlife Fund [1961] Scott weilded great influence throughout the conservation world, an achievement for which he was knighted for in 1973.
