Revolt in the desert. London: Jonathan Cape, 1927. 8vo, original cloth gilt, with an ALS from Lawrence, signed T.E. Shaw, dated 24.ix.32 on Adelaide Road headed notepaper, explaining why, "There isn't, and there never will be, a signed copy of "Revolt-i-t-d"..."

Provenance: Lawrence wrote this letter to a teacher he knew at Portsmouth High School who had passed on a request for the copy to be signed from a Miss Jean Donaldson who was a pupil at St. Paul's Girls' School in London and was interested in buying the book, which she did, but minus a signature.
