Fourth folio edition of King James' version, folio, black letter, seventeenth century calf over wooden boards, metal corners & central diamond, stamped on upper cover "Gift of Thomas Wotton of Aldwincle to the parish church of St. P[ete]rs"; largely disbound, lacks 12 leaves including both titles [viz: A1, HHH1, DDDDD1 [New Testament title-page], HHH6, 5T2, 6A2, and 6D1-6]; 5T5, 5X1, 5X4, 5R3, 5S3 torn away with loss of text, preliminary leaves and leaves at end holed with loss, frayed, stained and soiled, intermittent dampstaining, (mostly at beginning and to whole of N.T.), some margins frayed and/or dust-soiled, a few small holes, some loss to lower corners of N.T., once rebacked, now very worn, lacks clasps, [Darlow & Moule 487]
