Chapman and Hall, 1855. First edition, 2 volumes, 12mo, contemporary dark green polished morocco, spine decorated gilt in compartments, a little rubbed; [Idem] The Ring and the book. Smith, Elder, 1868-69. First edition, 4 volumes, 8vo, original dark green cloth over bevelled boards, spines lettered in gilt, boards with black double line and tooth roll border, volumes all numbered in Roman, a little rubbing to heads and tails; [Idem] Autograph signature, dated "London, May 18, '64", on slip of paper 5x10cm, framed with engraved portrait by A. Wagner, overall frame size 37x28cm (7)
