Biblia Sacra. Lyon: Guliel. Rouillium, 1569. Large 4to, 3 engraved maps, engraved headers, initials and illustrations, 17th century tree calf, gilt tooled floral morifs to spine, red and gilt label to spine, previous owner's bookplate, occasional spotting and darkening (particularly to title), marginal repairs to a few leaves with occasional loss of letters and page numbers, a few small tears (mostly closed), longer closed tear to page 306, small tear to x4 causing loss of some letters in the margin, some minor ink markings and occasional ink-stains and dampstaining, d5 lacking, covers and spine a little rubbed, slight chipping to corners and spine

Note: A slip of paper accompanying this book reads: "...At the time of religious persecution this Bible was saved from burning and found its way into the library of H.R.H. the Duke of Sussex, son of George III."
This copy has 929 pages, whilst the Italian ViaLibri suggests that 940 pages should be present.
