Description
L'Ile de Staffa et sa grotte basaltique. Paris: Panckoucke, 1831. Folio, double-page map with hand-coloured route, and 12 engraved plates (11 of which are monochrome aquatints), contemporary marbled boards, French bookplate of Mr Laplagne Barris, some spotting to plates and occasionally to text, map a little browned, joints splitting and upper part of spine lifted away from book, but still present

Note: This work, considered complete in itself, was to make up part of the larger collection of works, Voyage Pittoresque aux Iles Hébrides, which covers Iona, Skye and Loch Katrine. However, L'Ile de Staffa was the only part published, as far as it is possible to tell.
